The Order of the Eastern Star is the largest fraternal organization in the world to which both women and men may belong, with one million members worldwide. Its purpose is charitable, educational, fraternal and scientific, with a focus on supporting national, jurisdictional, and local charities. The gray book donation container, distinguished by its purple and yellow “Got Books?” signs, is located in the parking lot of the Masonic Lodge at 116 South Meadow Road. This program is an ongoing fundraiser and donations can be made by the public at any time. All funds raised through the collection of these donations will benefit the funding of the Plymouth chapter of the OES. Choose to reuse! Donating books and more at this location is a great way to help a local group raise money and a great way to keep books out of the trash. In addition to helping raise money for this group, these donated goods will be repurposed in great ways; they could be donated to schools, libraries, and other groups in need, sent overseas to the troops, given to teachers for their classrooms, or sold in book sales and online.
