About Us

Our mission at Got Books is to find new uses for used books people no longer know what to do with or have use for. We are dedicated to finding good homes for your books, CDs, DVDs and videos, to reuse them, and to keep books out of the trash.

As a for-profit used book seller and fundraiser, your donated items are collected and then re-circulated back into the community in a few ways:

• We give items free to libraries, schools, children's causes and any other group in need >more
• We have a program that gets teachers free books for their classrooms >more
• For 2008, we have pledged to send at least 25,000 books overseas to the troops >more
• We sell them at our weekly Charity Book Sale where 50% of profits go to our nonprofit partners and we sell them online
  

At the end of the day, no books get thrown out or go to waste…EVER!

We serve the local community by helping charities and nonprofit groups raise money and help the environment by saving unwanted books from being thrown away. Our Charity Book Sale, based in our North Reading warehouse, raises money for a variety of our nonprofit partners and 50% of all profits go directly to them. We also offer fundraising book drop-off containers and have over 235 placed throughout New England at schools, town halls, retail parking lots and a variety of other public locations.

Our books are supplied by residents and groups like you who have donated Books, CDs, Videos, DVDs and more through our free pick-up service (offered in many areas of MA and Southern NH) or have dropped them off at one of our 235+ conveniently located drop-off sites.
