As a for-profit professional fundraiser, we're able to partner with many groups by way of our container fundraising program & we currently support over 350 local nonprofit groups in this way.

Retarded Adult Rehabilitation Association (RARA)

We've worked with RARA longer than any other local group and they currently participate in our fundraising program with 3 book donation containers placed in their name. RARA also raises money when you donate your books at our Burlington, Danvers, Nashua, or Salem Used Book Superstore locations! We pay them for each donation & you get a tax receipt from RARA!

MassRecycle



Got Books is a Green Ribbon Friend of MassRecycle, the Massachusetts Recycling Coalition, and has supported both their missions and campaigns in several ways. MassRecycle awarded Got Books with the 2007 Recycling Business Green Binnie Award for providing "outstanding book collection and processing services to both commercial and residential generators of recyclable material."

Got Books also supports the Mass Recycles Paper Campaign as a 'Friend of the Earth' sponsor.

The Green Team

Got Books has partnered with The Green Team in an effort to support the group's mission of promoting recycling and environmentally friendly habits and behaviors. The Green Team is an environmental club for Massachusetts students sponsored by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Environmental Affairs and Department of Environmental Protection. The group promotes waste reduction, reuse, recycling, composting, energy conservation and pollution prevention.

Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA)

Got Books is a member of SWANA, a professional association with a mission of advancing the practice of environmentally and economically sound management of municipal solid waste in North America. Got Books also attends the annual SWANA conference regularly.

Northeast Resource Recovery Association (NRRA)

Got Books is a member of the Northeast Resource Recovery Association, New England's leading recycling agency. The association provides cooperative purchasing programs, educational and networking opportunities, technical assistance, and cooperative marketing programs that have received national recognition.


Got Books has partnered with the Massachusetts Literacy Foundation & the Boston Herald In Education Program to bring newspapers to classrooms and raise money for local schools. Learn more about this program & how your school can get involved here.

through our Books for Troops program. Our goal is to provide local soldiers with quality books to
