Charity Book Sale
To Support Local Nonprofit Groups

we're not your typical used book store!

  • All items are just $1 each
  • 50,000 books, videos, CDs, & records to choose from
  • Half of all profits are donated directly to our nonprofit partners

THE CHARITY BOOK SALE IS NOW CLOSED!

The final Charity Book Sale was held on October 31, 2009. The sale began in January 2006 and in that time Got Books was able to create connections with many loyal customers and raise thousands of dollars for community groups in need. Book sale partners included RARA, American Training, Adelante Youth Center, Lawrence Boys and Girls Club, Lazarus House, Andover Historical Society, Andover ABC, Debbie's Treasure Chest, Creative Living, Local Heroes, CSF North Reading, Arlington MA Babe Ruth Baseball League, Lawrence Public Library and more.

Even with the Charity Book Sale closing, Got Books is also able to support hundreds of local groups through our Fundraising Program. We are able to work with so many diverse groups in this way, with more being added regularly. Hundreds of sizeable checks are sent out each month to help support our nonprofit partners.

We also have many resources for the reuse of books and other items. We send 25,000 books overseas to local troops each year, give free and discounted books to local teachers, donate books to local nonprofits in need, and we're able to get books back into the community at low, low prices through our Used Book Superstore.
