RIVERFIELD SCHOOL IN FAIRFIELD CT RECEIVES A ‘SMART CAR’ FULL OF BOOKS
Fairfield, CT December 1, 2011 – Got Books, Inc headquartered in Wilmington MA, the leading used book
collection and reuse company in New England announced that the Riverfield Elementary School is the latest recipient of a “Smart Car Full of Books”, (see attached photo). The Got Books Smart Car is filled with books and brought to schools as a boost for their school-wide or classroom libraries. The car holds nearly 400 books and for Riverfield the books will augment the school’s library.
The books were donated to the school’s library specialist Diane Faiella, a veteran of twenty-five years in education and in her first year at Riverfield Elementary School.
The gift to the school, which exceeds $2,000 in value is the latest donation from Got Books, Inc and the first in the Connecticut area. Similar gifts have been made this year to schools in both MA and NH.
Paul Toaso, principal of the Riverfield Elementary School comments, “Our commitment is to ‘children first’. This gift supports the expansion of our library and our children developing a love of books and reading. ”
