Looking to get rid of your used books? The city of Portsmouth is looking for donations of used books, CDs, DVDs, records, and audio books. The city has placed a drop-off donation and reuse container for residents, businesses, schools, libraries, and other groups who wish to contribute books they no longer have a use for and would like to see repurposed.
The ‘Got Books?’ donation container is conveniently located at the Portsmouth Recycling Center behind the Department of Public Works building on 680 Peverly Hill Road. The container is open for donations from all Portsmouth residents every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8am-3:30pm, and Saturday from 8am-Noon.
