Got Books Raises Money for Children’s Center of Methuen
|
Looking to get rid of your used books? The Children’s Center of Methuen is raising money through donations of new and used books, CDs, DVDs, records, and audio books. The group has placed a drop-off donation and reuse container for residents, businesses, schools, libraries, and other groups who wish to contribute books they no longer have a use for and would like to see repurposed, while also raising money for the center.
The ‘Got Books?’ donation container, distinguished by its lively purple and yellow signs, is conveniently located at the Children’s Center on 35 Lowell Street (corner of Lowell and Pelham Street) in Methuen. Donations can be made by the public at any time. The center, a ministry of Christ United Methodist Church, is a group child care program designed to provide a loving, warm, nurturing, and safe environment for all children. Funds raised through book donations will benefit the Children’s Center’s general funding.
