Got Books Raises Money for Exeter Animal Shelter Committee
|
Want to get rid of your used books? Exeter Animal Shelter Committee is raising money through donations of new and used books, CDs, DVDs, records and audio books. The group has recently placed a drop-off donation container to collect these items from community members who’d like to repurpose their used goods while also helping the committee raise money for the shelter. The group will be paid on an ongoing basis for all items collected in their donation container.
The Exeter Animal Shelter is a no kill shelter which offers services and housing to animals in need. The committee helps support the shelter financially and uses funds toward veterinarian expenses for animals with injuries or illnesses, as well as for shelter improvements, such as their newly built dog runs, which enhance the animals’ quality of life.
The gray book donation container, distinguished by its purple and yellow ‘Got Books?’ signs, is located in the parking lot of the animal shelter at 169 South County Trail, Exeter. This program is an ongoing fundraiser and donations can be made by the public at any time. All funds raised through the collection of these donations will help the committee support the mission of the shelter.
