Want to get rid of your used books? The Parent-Teacher Association of Londonderry’s South School is raising money through donations of new and used books, CDs, DVDs, records and audio books. The group has recently placed a drop-off donation container to collect these items from community members who’d like to repurpose their used goods while also helping the PTA raise money. The group will be paid on an ongoing basis for all items collected in their donation container.

The gray book donation container, distinguished by its purple and yellow ‘Got Books?’ signs, is located in the parking lot of the school at 150 Nashua Road in Londonderry. This program is an ongoing fundraiser and donations can be made by the public at any time. All funds raised through the collection of these donations will benefit the general funding of the PTA.

The PTA provides enrichment programs, field trips, safety programs, family fun nights, guest speakers and more, as well as publishes the Hawk Talk, the school’s monthly newsletter. The PTA also provides resources for Special Education, Occupational Therapy, Music, Art, the library Department and classroom supplies. Savings R Us, Wee Deliver, The Reading Incentive Program, Sum+It, Adopt a Family, School Store, the Holiday Shop, Popcorn Sales, Logo Wear, and the Memory Book are all PTA sponsored programs, run by parent volunteers.
