Want to get rid of your used books? The Plymouth Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star is raising money through donations of new and used books, CDs, DVDs, records and audio books. The group has recently placed a drop-off donation container to collect these items from community members who’d like to repurpose their used goods while also helping them raise money. The group will be paid on an ongoing basis for all items collected in their donation container.

The Order of the Eastern Star is the largest fraternal organization in the world to which both women and men may belong, with 1 million members worldwide. Its purpose is charitable, educational, fraternal and scientific, with a focus on supporting national, jurisdictional, and local charities.

The gray book donation container, distinguished by its purple and yellow Got Books? signs, is located in the parking lot of the Masonic Lodge at 116 South Meadow Road in Plymouth. This program is an ongoing fundraiser and donations can be made by the public at any time. All funds raised through the collection of these donations will benefit the funding of the Plymouth chapter of the OES.
