Want to get rid of your used books? The Deming Way Tenants Association of the Wilmington Housing Authority is raising money through donations of new and used books, CDs, DVDs, records and audio books. The group has recently placed a drop-off donation container to collect these items from community members who’d like to repurpose their used goods while also helping the Association raise money. The group will be paid on an ongoing basis for all items collected in their donation container.

The Tenants Association represents the elderly and disabled tenants that live in the 667-1 and 667-2 developments at the Housing Authority. The group meets monthly to discuss concerns, plans trips and parties and holds an annual Holiday Fair.

The gray book donation container, distinguished by its purple and yellow ‘Got Books?’ signs, is located in the front parking lot near the main office of the Wilmington Housing Authority at 41 Deming Way. This program is an ongoing fundraiser and donations can be made by the public at any time. All funds raised through the collection of these donations will be used to make improvements to the building’s main hall.
